ENGLISH 12

ENGLISH VERSION 12:

And it's more than hard at my age to find a job, even though the desire to continue until 65 and the intentions are real, but the same intentions quickly turn into illusions. But having said that, I now understand well the employers that they do not really dare to commit to having to train a 59-year-old who may soon slip on early retirement even if you say something else. But that's it, basta!

And early retirement it will be and fine enough. But it's a little hard now just to go there and go, but I wonder if I can learn it after a while? But there is now no reason to be bored for that reason. My lovely Lisa is struggling with her knees and has had her right operated on "Hamlet", but it has certainly not been an unconditional success. There is still the same pain in the same place and some new ones have been added. Plus, then the left knee has become overloaded due to the surgery of the right, so it is also starting to make trouble now.

Have the feeling that doctors may have hearing difficulties and do not hear what the patient is saying. When we were inside "Hamlet" so the doctor could look at Lisa's knee after the operation, the doctor seemed a little surprised. Does it hurt there too ?? ALSO!! Jaaaa, that's where it's hurt all the time and it's been said all along. So you think a little bit about what has been operated on at all.

OK, something has happened, because Lisa no longer falls as before, where her right knee broke without warning and she sprinkled along the floor, without exhibiting particularly graceful behavior at the same time as she rolls away. So little has been fixed, but the pain is almost worse than before and the knees need to be scanned to take a closer look at what is wrong. If one can then see it?

Well, but the whole thing should not be sad with unemployment and illness. So I just want to jump back a bit, to the early spring where Queen Lisa and I drove a trip to Funen, more specifically at Hvedholm Castle outside Faaborg.

Lovely place where the experience is paramount, with a nice room and a beautiful garden to walk around in, in the same way as the Castle itself can be explored through all the hallways with the beautiful old furniture and beautiful gold framed pictures on the wall so the whole spirit of the place brought us back to the time before us.

In the evening, the experience is of course the 5-course menu served by waiters in the stiffest plaster. Delicious well-cooked food with first a wonderful Chaplis and afterwards a nice Amarone wine for the main courses. We enjoyed the dessert for a soft Port wine of the best. An experience for the stomachs that we enjoyed for 3 and a half hours to soft music, not to mention the waiter who also made sure that the impressions were full on this evening.

Well fed, we wheeled around the Castle a bit before there was a little Goodnight service with a little delicious cake and more for the neck. It was getting late and we went to our room and went to bed for the night in the four-poster bed. A wonderful day, with experiences on the polished floors.

In the morning there was a sumptuous breakfast table in the dining room, where we could mash ourselves in everything the heart could desire from breakfast "things" to the stomachs. A lovely weekend at Hvedholm Castle, we were already thinking of doing in a day.

The rest of the spring and summer went pretty peacefully, not least when we put a 5000-Liter swimming pool up in the garden, where we dipped almost every day and just enjoyed life the best we could. It should be completely forbidden for me to have duties and other things that absolutely must be done in addition to eating, drinking and relaxing. Does anyone have anything to object to?

May, June and July go without the big changes and I also reach the early retirement age as previously mentioned and am quite happy with it. At the same time I also round the 60s and the day is enjoyed at Hvedholm Castle again, together with my Lisa and my old friends Hanne, Knut, Brigitte and Nana, who make the day very special for me with their company. We have known each other for a long time, all the way back from the beginning of the 1970s from the time at Vejlesø in Holte, so we know each other at the foot stroke.

It was again a wonderful weekend at Hvedholm Castle which I will remember for a long time, not least because the company of wonderful friends means a lot to me and is something that makes things worth experiencing. Again it was an unforgettable experience to visit Hvedholm Castle, but the wonderful food and just enjoy life in Slotshaven with serving goodies in the garden on a sunny August 7, 60 years after I made my entrance into the world.

Also just thinking of another Castle stay we were on. Some of our lovely friends had donated a Gift Certificate to Osto, to an agency that also had Castle stays on the "menu". So we supplemented the gift card and booked into "Sauntehus Slotshotel", full of expectations with our 2 stays at Hvedholm Castle in mind.

It turned out to be something of a cold bucket of water in my head. First we had to wait a long time for the Receptionist to show up. No-no, not a nicely dressed one like on Hvedholm, but sloppy in curly cowboy pants and more, just like his little daughter whizzed around and made noise. Likewise, we could find the daughter's toys floating around the Castle. I do not think it belongs here, when you have paid a pretty nice amount of money for the stay, you should also be able to expect that the Slots illusion you have will not be punctured that way.

Our room was impeccable, with a balcony next to the garden. But later when we went down to the dining room, the illusion punctured again. There were obviously only 2 people, to make things work. An absolutely skilled chef and then someone who should work both in the kitchen in the dishes and at the same time be a waiter. So our 5-course menu with Chaplis and Merlot wines, was served by a person in kitchenware with a tea towel over his arm instead of an immaculate waiter in appropriate clothes as on Hvedholm.

I do not know if I am delicate, but when you pay for something it should be at the top, if you are to believe the brochure, then you should also be able to expect it to be fulfilled. The food was a Castle stay, but the rest of the stay and especially the service and service was a 3rd class inn stay. Of course it is Lacsæson, but then you do not have to charge High Season prices when you do not want to deliver the goods. Simply too bad!

Or Sauntehus Slotshotel is just not better and I would strongly advise against others to stay there. It will be a total waste of money. Try Hvedholm Castle or other places.

But back, or rather forward again, to October 2010 and the real world. Lisa is still struggling with her knees, especially the right one after the operation on "Hamlet". But we hear from others who have gone through the same thing that it can easily take a year before you really notice improvements after such an operation, where it cleanses really well in and around the knee joint for osteoarthritis that has left its mark.

Otherwise, the days go by at home, if we do not drive a little out into the blue and look at life around us. If nothing else, then to not stand still and just look at the house. Incidentally, our house has now been for sale since January, but the crisis has taken hold so it is not easy to sell houses when there are just over 65,000 for sale and probably only about 4-5000 buyers.

Unfortunately we asked EDC in Nakskov to sell the house, but there are not many activities on their part, at least not seen with our eyes. So we decide to "buy ourselves free" of the sales agreement with EDC, which in today's Denmark cost 12600, – but we think that the money is well spent, because we doubt that they are active enough, so we go out to the Estate broker in Nakskov and gives him the task instead and it is called "sold or free". So the "free purchase" is probably given out pretty well, except that we probably should have looked better before we put the cabin up for sale.

We are now writing Mid-November and the summer has come to an end, even though the weather is quite nice for the season. Hoping to see some shooting stars at this time, where the constellation Leo sends about 100 "shots" across the sky to us in the hour. Usually there are only 3-4 shooting stars per hour as you can often see, so we hope for a little show at this time.
Too bad! Here on Saturday the 4th of December I should have been to the Christmas table in the Swedish Harley Club which I participate in every year in "Grottbyn" a little north of Höör. But the weather gods wanted something else and sent snow in large quantities down over the country, so at least the quantities here made me cancel. Emailed several of my Swedish friends who told me that the situation in Sweden is similar to Denmark. So sensibly I stay at Queen Lisa's house and enjoy the warmth here instead.

Christmas and New Year are quiet and peaceful without the big excesses and nothing happens until we 31 March get cavity wall insulated the house. Have actually thought (due to incorrect seller information) that the cabin was cavity wall insulated, but when I became curious one day and drilled a hole in the wall, the cavity was resoundingly empty of insulation material.

So we found the "RoofXpert" by Flemming Teut and got him and his people to fill the cavity walls with paper granules. It was unbelievable! The difference could be felt immediately, because the cold that used to be at the walls (did not think about it) had disappeared and the house is now warm everywhere WITHOUT special heat on the appliances. A little wild. And it is estimated that our total heating cost will easily come down to DKK 9,000. annually, perhaps less. But time will tell. Super good investment that benefits the buyer of our house.

In March we also got the excellent idea to treat ourselves to an Inn stay, arriving at coffee time at Bromølle Inn near Jyderup by Åmose Å (See the folder "Link from everywhere"), where we were received by a super nice Innkeeper, Betinna Bresnov , who gave us the key of welcome. Downstairs room that was just super clean and cozy with double bed, TV, balcony and free internet access. So over of look at the coffee table and enjoy a delicious piece of calorie bomb that slid joyfully down your throat. After that we walked around a bit outside for a short time, but then it started to rain so we headed to the room again. With that weather, there was nothing more sensible than turning on the computers you brought and reading some mail and having fun together.

When the bellies started talking, we went over to the restaurant and were directed to a good table. Sweet and accommodating waiter (inside) in immaculate black clothes and super short color matches curly hair. Here I think that the waiter is responsible for half the experience of the time you spend in the restaurant. And I have to say that "Curl Top" had a phenomenal ability to be there every single time we needed her and otherwise let us take care of ourselves and enjoy the food and each other. First we got a little delicious "Appetites" (do not ask me what it was) that prepared the throat for the next three delicious dishes of food. Puha, there was also plenty of food so no one went hungry from the table. Satisfied, we went to the room again and "enjoyed" the rain that filtered down outside.

Of course, it turned into a little television until we crawled under the duvet and let the night take over. Nice morning to have breakfast in, before we put our noses home with talk about the delicious food we got here at Bromølle Kro, where we agreed to visit again when we were deliciously hungry.

April was not exactly full of experiences, with the exception that our neighbors Lotte and Palle held a huge Silver Wedding party where nothing was missing, as always when they hold "get together". Lots of great food as well as music and dancing until well into the night. Then you get a damn comb for your hair.

Come May You sweet gentle! Nice weather prevails and what more could you ask for? May 10, I am invited to a meeting where the journalist Jørgen Laurvig will gather us 7 who participated in the founding meeting September 23, 1976, where Harley-Davidson Club Denmark was founded. The meeting was held in Skælskør with Jan Kock and here we all gave our opinion on how we remembered that the club was founded. Jørgen had to use all these stories and opinions when writing a book about the creation of the club and how it has developed over the years. The good Jørgen is now in a hurry if the book is to be published on 23 September this year on the club's 35th birthday. We can only wish good luck with the work and look forward to the book coming out.

It was then the 10th of May that my Lisa and I really should have had fun away with some good food here on our 22nd birthday. But But, we will get many of them in the future so we have to take revenge for this year.

Wow, there are many anniversaries this time of the year. We were also invited to Ditte's 25th Anniversary. After all, 25 years at SAS, Copenhagen Airport, have been in the same workplace for many years. Lots of food and drink for the party-loving people, as always when there is a party at Ditte and René's on Amager, where the house is on the other end.

So now we just have to relax a bit and we go to Bromølle Kro again on May 22, so we can again enjoy the stay at the inn which we have just named our "sanctuary" where we let ourselves be pampered with a nice room and again with a dining experience beyond the ordinary. Again we were lucky to have "our" smiling "Curl Top" to serve with a male colleague. It's unbelievable that 2 and a half hours at the dinner table disappears in a flash when there is just nothing to complain about.

6, 7, 8. May 2011 there is Gullabotræf in Sweden as always. It is the Swedish Harley-Davidson club that every year the second weekend in May, holds this meeting which I faithfully attend. Always nice, where the 50-60 participants are repeaters and then every year there are 10-20 new ones who just have to see what it's all about. A lot of talk as well as music and dancing if the stomachs are not filled with delicious barbecue food. This year, however, there is an extra large rykind with over 80 participants and it seems that the limit is about to be reached in number, when you think of the facilities that are limited to a local ball club. See pictures in "From my Harley world"

June 17, 2011 I start up the Harley and drive to a meeting in Raftarp, Snogeholm, where District B of the Swedish Harley Club holds a "Pig Party". The trip gives a lot of rain, but my new Harley rainwear keeps quite tight, although there is probably a little of the large amounts of water seeping into the stomachs. The trip is almost 300 kilometers, but luckily the rain stops half an hour before the meeting place, so I dried up a bit before landing at the place.

It is always nice to come already on Friday, where there is always a "pre-party" with barbecue, music and dancing until the bright hours. There were 85 registered, but only about 60 came due to the bad weather, so there was plenty of food for us, in the 2 delicious roast pigs with accessories, which the chef started to prepare for Saturday night. Again a festive evening in the Swedish club, where I have been a member for 33 years and have made many wonderful friends, not least came Rosemarie and Leo, who I have known since the happy Landskrona days, in the late seventies. By the way, it is not very wise for people to sign up for the meeting and then not come, as food and more are bought for everyone who signs up.

It is such failures of participants that close the meetings, as the economy can not bear the expenses if the entrants do not show up. But we hope that District Chairman Dan and his assistants will make it run around so the meeting will not close due to failing attendance. Everything works for the meeting and as usual I am "on Coke" all Saturday, so I can drive home drunk on Sunday morning when I wake up. Again a little rain, but otherwise quite nice weather on the way home to Lolland on Panheaden and my lovely Lisa who is waiting with a little breakfast.

So I want to say thank you to Dan and his helpers for a really nice event, filled with cosiness and nice togetherness in the Swedish. For once, I have remembered the camera, so I get to take some pictures that can be seen at the end of the folder "My Harley World".

Here on Friday the 8th of July I went to "Enuddeträffen", a Harley meeting on Øland in Sweden. Just a super meeting, with many nice people to have fun with. Met a lot of old Swedish friends, among others Rosemarie and Leo, Katarina and Anders Stein, Lars-Uno and Rose-Marie, Barbro and Jan, Siv and Lasse, Carin and Claes, Jonni and Mrs., Lars from Bornholm with his son plus many others I unfortunately can not remember the names of. Hope I am forgiven. Remembered to buy some smoke products from Carina and Bosse in the smokehouse in Brømsebro (www.blomlofsrokeri.se/ save the link if you get on those edges). Just super items as usual, we can sit and enjoy the next few weeks at home. There are pictures from Enuddeträffen in the folder "Min Harleyverden".

Here on 16-17 July 2011, our lovely neighbors Lotte and Palle set off towards Bromølle Kro (Look at: www.bromoelle-kro.dk), which my Lisa and I have visited several times before with accommodation and lovely food. First we drove around Kalundborg to take a closer look at the pedestrian street and pause a bit at a sidewalk cafe and get a little wet to the throat. And then off to the Inn and get our rooms.

In a Bromølle stay it is a little good for the palate in the afternoon and a sumptuous evening meal, which we sat and enjoyed for 3 hours, with lovely wines and cold water, ending with wreath cakes and coffee / tea, before we went to the rooms bringing a hearty drink to to enjoy together on the terrace. Again, we were lucky to have our "own" servant Anne picky for us. Anne was as always super efficient and took care of us as if we were her children to be cared for, lovely. A really nice day surrounded by lovely friends. Sunday morning we enjoyed a sumptuous breakfast together before driving home.

July 31, 2011 and just returned from "Fyns Harley Meeting" at Marslev on Kertemindevejen 38. I drove away on Friday and had found Kertemindevej on Google, but when I stood at the address it was absolutely no meeting. Deeply weird and I was alive about to drive home again when an elderly man came out to me on the road and asked if he could help. It was lucky, because he told that there were 2 Kertemindevej, but with each their postcodes. He told me the way to Kertemindevejen in Marslev and certainly not if I found the meeting. I chatted with the organizers about the "phenomenon" and they will next year clarify better that it is Kertemindevejen the meeting is held on. Not everyone has GPS on the bike, but just has the map inside their head, so you just have to keep track of the road and the road when you search.

But hey, because it was a really good and well-arranged meeting they had put on on Funen. Everything worked and there was no shortage of wet or dry. Great mood and old as new friends. I had a lot of fun with Ib and Bo, the Harley twins who have been with me from the start of the club just like Ulla and Sigurd (see Ulla's website in the Linkpartner folder) I also enjoyed the company, just as always smiling Flemming Thaysen also showed up and not least Morten and Janne who has been folding the folds for many years under Harley. And Jimmy from Thy I probably sank a good bucket of beer with so we got to say many wise words. Uha, I could keep mentioning many, but the memory is a bit worn out over time, so the names have slipped into the mists but friendships persist even when it's only the faces we remember.

A nice meeting, with the only minus that the fire roads were closed by tents as there was a shortage of space for the many who showed up to the meeting. But it worked anyway and there was only a "fire" in it when I discovered that my rear wheel had lost air, so I had to borrow the compressor and pump the wheel. I decided first thing on Saturday evening that I would drive home and take the ferry Spodsbjerg-Tårs, so I could fix the wheel at home in Utterslev on Lolland, as I do not have any tools in my Amagergarage where the bike usually stands. But well at home with almost flat wheels and close to the food pots, it's time to relax and have fun with my Lisa again.

August 2011 will be taken into use and my 61st birthday will be held at Gentofte Hotel, where Lisa and I will have a cozy evening at the restaurant with accommodation. We pick up lunch at a local pizzaria for dining in the hotel room. We go over dinner easily, as the chef obviously could not figure out how to buy the most basic things for the 3 possible dishes the menu consisted of. In fact, we ordered 2 starters instead of the menu, to put together our own menu, but here too there were shortcomings on the plates. So never again Gentofte Hotel, it is simply too primitive in terms of cuisine.

Vupti and then it was September and we took an overnight stay at "Debbies Bed & Breakfast" a little outside Kalundborg, en route to lunch with Ulla and Sigurd I have known from the very beginning of Harley-Davidson Club Denmark in 1976. So it was actually on time to pay them a visit. They live wonderfully here and we enjoyed the company both over the food, beach walk and the "update" of all the years we have known each other. As always wonderful to be with good old friends and take a trip back in time. Wonderful day we will remember for a long time and not least to look at Ulla's work as a painter, where over the years she has "made" many beautiful pictures, which can be found on the link in my "Linkpartner" folder if you are curious.

September 23, 2011. Just think, today it is exactly 35 years since Pelle, Ib, Peter, Jan, Jørgen, Knut, Brigitte and myself, of course with contact to others in Denmark, including Flemming Thaysen on Funen, were gathered and founded Harley-Davidson Club Denmark (See in the folder "English 2").

It was of course to be celebrated in a proper way and the 35th Anniversary was held on Funen in Marslev in the Funen district's large club rooms, with a party until the wee hours. I was told that almost 400 people came to the event throughout the day, so it was big. At the same time, a beautiful book was published, written by the journalist Jørgen Laurvig, who is himself a Harley driver, about the club's history over the years. The book has become a huge work, super nice set up with a lot of pictures and stories about what has happened over the years, from the early start where we just wanted to gather the few Harley owners who were in Denmark and to now where the club has developed into a large organization.

On the way over I met my old friend Peter Hansen on the ferry, so of course we had a good chat about the phenomenon we started in 1976. We landed at the meeting early and were greeted by many as they arrived later in the afternoon. Later we were gathered in the party room where Jørgen Laurvig welcomed us on stage and invited us from the start of the club, up on stage for ordinary viewing and photography (See pictures in the folder "From my Harley world").

A great day for all of us and a lot of close friends were greeted from the time before and up to now. A really festive day with a nice reunion with new and old friends from the Harley world. When we founded the club, none of us had enough imagination to imagine the club becoming as big as it is today. But we must keep in mind that it was not only us few from that time who created it all and we must remember not to glorify ourselves, for we only laid the first stone. Later, each new member has each laid their own stone in the creation and we have not been able to do without a single member so that the club could grow to what it has become today. Each and every one has put their own personality on it all, so not a single member has been able to do without over the years for the club to become what it is today.

Furthermore, it goes with a dull autumn. The Harley will be put in the garage in early November, when the heat does not just warm the old man's fingers anymore. Get rid of the license plate and think a little about service so it will be ready for next season on the roads.

December 3rd I drive to Grottbyn in Sweden where I look forward to seeing many Swedish Harley friends again for the annual Christmas lunch. Every year it is a party with delicious food as well as music and dancing until late at night. As always, an evening in festive layers with talk about this year's reunion and gatherings, just as we talk about next year's reunion.

The year probably ended a little sadly when Lisa's Grandma got tired of days and passed away peacefully on December 30 after almost 90 years on Earth. Peace be with her.

Likewise, our cat Pjuske died the same day, after a long time with pain in joints and bones, as she suffered from advanced rheumatoid arthritis, which often caused her to judge her jumps incorrectly and in some cases landed completely incorrectly. Likewise, the pain in her body made her somewhat tingly if one came to touch the wrong places. Therefore, we were also somewhat nervous if a small child started to caress her incorrectly and Pjuske would then attack the child in "self-defense". A Norwegian Forest Cat has some rather large and sharp claws, so that great damage could occur. Therefore, we decided to kill Pjuske before others might hurt her because they thought she would attack them when she hisses instead of spinning when she was cuddled. Peace be with Pjuske where cats now go beyond.

New Year Lisa and I kept to ourselves in Utterslev, with some delicious food and coziness. At midnight we went out and looked at the bit of fireworks that were around here.

January 3rd we drive to Amager to take over our new apartment, we have to renovate and move in when it is ready. And then we must hope that a buyer comes to our house, which can be used both as a year-round house and a summer house. It will be exciting to move back to Amager after 10 super good years here in Utterslev on Lolland, where we have shared the road with really good neighbors and neighbors. Maybe a big decision to move back to Copenhagen, but we feel it is the right time and we look forward to seeing the big city again.

Luckily, the apartment is quite nice with newly planed floors, so there is only painting of walls and panels missing AND then just the kitchen that looks like something that was a lie and has stood for at least 50 years without any kind of maintenance and nailed together with some huge long spiers and screws that were totally rusted into the masonry. But it went and vupti, then our lovely friends Ditte and René came with the trailer and picked up all the garbage to the scrap yard. Many thanks to you for the help!

So there is only to start with the demolition, measurement and planning of a new kitchen, mainly from IKEA, which has many really good things for the purpose. Tjuhej where it goes and a new wider, non-standard table top is ordered specially from Bauhaus. Wait, wait 3-4 weeks because it needs to be custom made. We could live with that, IF Bauhaus had just remembered to pass the order on to the supplier. Not many in the Bauhaus who did not just have to do with it, but passed the blame on. But eventually one took responsibility and got the order off and we actually got the new tabletop after only 2 weeks. Home and cut, customize and assemble the rest in the new kitchen and enjoy it, just super.

Nice we have now got in order and now we are just waiting for a buyer to come to our house on Lolland, so we can get everything in place and have a "normal" life. But we are fully aware that the housing market has come to a complete standstill because the various finance companies have gradually set the income requirements so unrealistically high that ordinary people with average incomes cannot afford to buy a house. My opinion is that the requirements are set so high, to avoid lending money at the very low interest rates that prevail in the market today. it simply cannot pay to lend money.

The summer of 2012 is just around the corner and I wonder if there will be some exciting experiences in the time to come?

The first weekend in May will be and the course will be set for the Gullaboträffen in Eastern Sweden, where I will, as usual, show up for this year's first Harley meeting on Friday among the first participants. The Dutch are as always in the square and I have a good chat with my old friend Gerard, but since my name memory is not the best anymore, I would rather say no one mentioned, no one forgotten, but still warm reunion with many familiar faces where the coziness is in the forefront. But as usual, the conversation goes on and some drinks are shared for the conversation.

Nice weather, but the cloudless sky also gives cold so it's about finding your way to the open fire and finding some warmth. The talk is about everything and problems do not exist or they are hidden by the road. I do not really remember when I first came here at Gullaboträffen, but we agree that it is probably the last 14-15 years I have been a regular participant here. But otherwise it is the 19th time the meeting is held and it has been decided that next year, its the 20th meeting, must be the last time, to stop while it is at the top.

It happened for the "Barnakällaträffen" a few years ago, when we were only 12 who showed up for the meeting, against the usual 60-70. The reason was that another Harley meeting had been newly arranged elsewhere in Sweden the same weekend and it obviously drew more than Barnakälla. Too bad, because it was just a hit for me, not too many participants and most were repeat offenders. But that's how it is when something new comes up.

Here in Gullabo, I was, as usual, the only and therefore longest-running Dane and as such also got a large bag of smoked salmon, from "Blomlöffs Rökeri" to take home for a cozy meal or two. As usual, Carina (moved to Dansker) and Bosse hand out the prizes to the selected participants and many thanks for that, dear friends.

Great festivity Friday as always and a slightly calmer Saturday, at least for me, as I always set course for Denmark either late Saturday night or Sunday morning when I wake up. At home on Amager again and then it is on salmon in large quantities with Lisa and I. Nice to come to Gullaboträffen and it will be enough with some sadness to get to the last one next year, if it is decided by the organizers. ButBut, you have to find another Harley "event" or meet to start the season.

And then off to the Midsummer meeting in June at Enudden on Öland in Sweden. Arrived Friday and quickly found the friends so the conversation started, just as a couple of cold "drinks" were enjoyed under the sun that warmed well. Greeted many old friends and there was also one more Dane, namely Lars from Bornholm who almost always shows up at the Swedish meetings.

It was my first "Enuddetrapp" so I also had to walk around the area where there was both forest, field and meadow. Nice place where the neighbors were not disturbed and there were a lot of people so it was a quick party atmosphere. Had some trouble finding out, because the road was not particularly well described and the locals looked like a big question when asked about the road, but after driving enough 50 kilometers around, I dumped into the square. You only have to drive incorrectly once, then the entire path find goes into the sink.

Nice meeting that can be recommended, not least with the location right by Kalmarsund, so remember the swimwear that can be dipped in the shallow water at the meeting place.

Then came July where Lisa rounded the sharp corner and it was celebrated with close friends and family at a really nice restaurant, "Den lykkelige Familie" on Englandsvej on Amager. A place with a good kitchen which can be recommended. Lovely afternoon in the spirit of coziness so Lisamin got on well in life, fresh on taking the next half century with me. Am I not lucky, not least here in the beginning of August where I turned 62 and enjoyed the day with my lovely Lisa.

Sluggish autumn without the great experiences, but time drags on towards Christmas and New Year where hopefully something positive happens in Lisa's case with the municipality and Jobcenter who have more than difficulty approving osteoarthritis and other joint problems, despite several hospitals and clinics' diagnosis. But we are working on the matter and hope for progress in the new year, with the new laws in the area, but one now has his doubts.

Here today, December 24, 2012, we set off for Hotel Radisson, where we have a room on the 21st floor, with an absolutely magnificent view of most of Copenhagen at our feet. We look forward to being served up a bit here where the year is coming to an end towards 2013 and we will also be served 4 super delicious dishes of food, which we enjoy in small bites over 3 and a half hours rinsed down with Coca-Cola plus Danish water and a little always tasty Chaplis vin. It was planned to go to the Casino this evening, but as the only time during the year, the same Casino is closed on Christmas Eve. But it didn't matter now, because we had a great time in the room with the television and peanuts.

December 30, 2012:

On December 30, we drove to Lolland to celebrate the New Year in our house, not least also to just keep an eye on it on the last night of the year, where a lot of gunpowder and many rockets are burned off, so it would be nice to keep an eye on. Also 4 wonderful days before we set course for Amager again and everyday life at home.

Nice quiet New Year's Eve with some good food. Luckily we do not have television channels in the house, so we enjoyed music and a video and at the turn of the year we went out on the road and enjoyed the many rockets in the sky and one was nicer than the other. A really nice New Year's Eve my Lisa and I enjoyed together. Actually glorious not to party for once.

January, February, March and most of April went without the big arm movements and festivity, but probably just with homely coziness and from time to time together with lovely and close friends you never get tired of, not to forget the family where we had the grandchildren Mathilde , Caroline and Malthe visiting and staying overnight with us on Amager. Quite simply really nice to have the kids visit to have fun with Best (Lisa) and Grandpa. We are super lucky to have some well-behaved grandchildren who have listened to Mom and Dad at home so we can be proud of them and never be afraid of what others think of them … they are just the best.
